Travelers Past

Traveler's Past..

Snapping and cracking

On the clearest cold day

With colors arranged

In the most orderly array

Shamelessly high

Red, white , and blue

Proud are they showing

Whipping in view

They understood

What was your mind

As you passed by

On your travelers find

Some thought how beautiful

Others said "my my"

Few didn't notice

As they passed by

Those colors were bright

Big, bold, and proud

Flared ancient warriors

Shouting out loud

Come ride with me

My native son

Come ride with Forrest

Battle not done

All come and join us

Who were thought lesser men

Your part of this nation

Oh how we sinned

Join our great cause

We all are now one

Hope of our nation

You brother’s mother’s son

Keep our colors flying

Don't take them down

At a "Traveler's Rest"

Where they can be found.....
