GOD IS LOVE, BUT HATES....

God is love

God hates too

Don't be confused

Both are true

For God loves creation

Mammals, fish, and men

Yes.. Men are mammals

I digress ...let's begin

You see He's an artist

His paintings yield no flaw

His best was that of man

Most perfect, brush stroke of all

Remember others were also perfect

Seen... stars, moon, and Angels

And though men see with two eyes

God sees from multiple angles

Creation was perfection

Then He added just one

Adam was, oh so lonely

God loved His newest son

So, a vision He did place there

Her lovely name was Eve

Adam was so thankful

For this woman now to cleave

Oh, in this perfect garden

They played and ate from trees

But all but one was not enough

In temptation they were deceived

Now Adam blamed his woman

That perfect gift called Eve

Now he sweats all day long

In pain gives birth, does she

Remember the beginning

Where God is love, but hates

And if you've ever been in love

To my rhyme you can relate

Now all this is meant in jest

But maybe in wisdom true

In the aching, all lovers confess

God hates and loves me too......

Cotton Pillow

I gazed upon an angels face
As she rested upon her pillow
Thinking with most covetous eyes
Never one mental frame would I dare share
For there on that cotton resting place
The purest of creamy skin, flowing blond hair
Eyes of clearest blue, opening for just a moment
She dreams of creatures, places, I've long forgotten
The toss of her head from side to side
I am arrested in my heart, thinking she may wake
Resolved in my selfishness,
Knowing this heavenly voyeurism would be over
I find myself casting my voice toward the divine
Hoping to be heard in the only request I have today
"Please, let this time, these images be suspended forever, to be captivated in safe retreat in my mind."
Allow death to come before a thief, as time or decay robs me of what I have witnessed today.
The purposeful image of divine imagination
Resting on a humbled man's cotton pillow.....

Applause

To who this is for

To whom is it not

A prose or this poem

Will not untie that tight knot

A valued consumer

Of the words forged by "smith'

Open please your ears

To ingest this brand new myth

Words tall as mountains

Syllables in fine rows

Sentences long and slender

How the fiction ever grows

Defined in your answers

How eloquent, in good time

Applause to the authors

And to well written rhyme

Words Can Not Express.....This is about what we say to the grieved...

When in a daze
I heard a phrase
Which puzzled in my ears
Not an empty quote
By those that wrote
Yet, still odd I must confess

When in grief
To my unbelief
In written words  most clear
Deeply sworn
By those that mourn
But sorrowfully hold the less

When in relief
For their true grief
Emotions pouring forth
They offer the sane
To ease the pain
Yes, trying to fix the mess

When in this way
The words you say
NO penance ever needed
So part the cloud
Now think out loud
For" Words can not express"

Void

Open and outstretched
Are empty arms held
No bundles there to hold

Where should be pleasantness
Is sorrow now found
By those left to the cold

Why this could happen
Though you are not alone
Still a void is locked inside

Fare and well meant
Are the words you hear
Emotion no one to confide

Memories that never will
Be the bright visions
In the years that become past

Perhaps in eternity
All tears are wiped dry
In a future already cast.

Open Minds....

No wasted spaces on this page

Not one blank can be found

If emptiness is what you sought

From inside this poet crowned

Then dig a little deeper deeper still

It will come to you just you wait

You open minded follied fool

To think but never concentrate

On the outcome of your actions

Though wise you wish you thought

Have you found it that hidden meaning?

Come on now, your smarter than were taught

For every genius is just you who

Although you wear a different hat

For foolishness is always with those

Who accept opposing truth as fact..

the Anchor......?

I am drifting

Here to there

From" to " too fro

My anchor shift

By current swift

Hopeless it seems

To keep it fixed

Whereas and Wherefore

I cannot ignore

My legs grow weaker

Beneath the flow

This rising tide

Which none expected

Will not relent

To push me on

Was not by choice

That moves my ship

Sails fixed tight

Wrapped ‘round mast

Must I resolve?

To fight with oar

Place my fortune

In another's path

Is this movement?

A persistent quest

Abandoning me onward

Toward a greater fate

My mind now confined

In what must be refined

I pull anchor and hoist sail.....

The mind of Butterflies.......

In the mind of lovely butterflies

Which spread their wings so beautiful

Flying to flowers they've never known

 Gathering nectar almost never tasted

They must have thought of weaker days

When crawling as chubby slow masses

Eating sour bitter chewy green leaves

Till the urge to be different emerged

    Never could they have contemplated

  Spinning their home of reclusiveness

That time they would spend in solitude

Would birth the beauty they had become

So tend your minds all you butterflies

Who dream, compose while others fear

For the struggle, the tug of restlessness

Is where the beauty you create will live

She

She maintains her beauty

In fears

She prescribes her remedy

In shadows

She consumes her wisdoms

In reclusiveness

She forbids her compliments

In remorsefulness

She concludes her future

In impoverishment

She revisits her emptiness

In resentment

She collapses her mystery

In hopelessness

She empties her sorrows

In forgivelessness

She bleeds her soul... in synonyms ......

Continue......to my son on graduation

Quickly it approaches

It grips you now

You’re not ready, you think

Though surely you are

Fear overwhelms you

As it should, momentarily

The unknown falls in line

Behind the mystery of excitement

You are stronger, easily

Than ever could imagine

From fail-able teachers

Studied and steadied

Your inner conviction, adult

Always, you have been

The better man

Continue.........my son

A darker side

This

A darker side comes forth, comes out

There, from my mouth, a vomitous shout

To laugh and play, in darker halls

Where murdering thoughts, line blood stained walls

Lascivious words prepared in vain

Lustfully dripping in fluidous shame

I can go further than any could tell

Down to the pit of a devils made hell

Spitting and lunging to grab hold of that waste

Then leaving the hole at a cleaver dead haste

The fire that warms me is the danger to all

For once and now fallen, embrace the" pits" call

If lingering impressions are not followed full

He'll have you down in that blackened cave, fool

For in this brief time, I'll flirt with this pain

impress those around, and some friends will I gain

Then when they’re all fixed, on my new fondled place

I'll wake up and turn back, to the light and the grace...

OK...tried to end this darkly. Just could not...just not in me I guess...lol

Yes, I meant to use the word "cleaver" and not clever...I thought it a bit more gruesome.

Where beauty lives......

Where beauty lives,

the  pleasant fruit

glows with the rarest  of shine.

To call to those

who've tasted sweet

through the portal of their nose.

Where she resides,

it's ever ripe

And lust is the pick of the day.

To bare in mind,

her juicy sweet

unleashed from pureness of her skin.

Where beauty lives,

with those that dine

on her sugared inner flesh

To want for less ,

so it last the more

Through the squeezing and bodies pressed.

I found you there.... Visiting Carnton Plantation here in Franklin I found the name of a confederate soldier from South Carolin...
