In Here

In here's the place you'd find me,

if you really would care

Inside between  the lines of my wrinkled eyes

you would find me

Each scar makes use of the abuse behind,

if to reveal the hidden not seen in me

Gray hairs and no hairs are your gentle reminder

that I have played my role

There are aches and pains ,

yet you've never heard me whimper a sound

Each morning that awakens is nothing more than a reminder

of the something I can never see again

You won't find me where others rehearse for a play that they never star in

 understudies  are they all.

I am who I am and all that memories could erase

to  recant the me I never was

Puzzled and perplexed you are as you read the lines

that can't replace what you know to be true

My awakening was long coming,

but it is the inevitable of what always was me

So look back again,

through every line of this prelude to what is

As you look between the all that is seen ,

IN HERE is where you will find me.......and maybe YOU
