Truest Friend

This is the beginning of the reposting of my favorite( ( to date) poems and a few words of commentary, knowing that ever one does not always understand the true meaning of a poet's words ....... Hope you enjoy!

My truest friend...

No judgmental glare

To condemn my plight

Not a flattering smile

Making easy my flight

In silence you proceed

Always willing to be

A place of refuge

Solace just for me

When I am empty

So are you beside

Waiting for my touch

Where we two collide

You lay there so softly

In a virgin's dress

Awaiting your lover

His most painful caress

Never saying a word

Yet, accepting all mine

Feeling my hurt

Mutely saying it's “all fine”

My truest one friend

In dark and or light

My hand across your skin

Forever is now all right

I can never forget you

My desire ever grows

To whom I am writing

No one will ever know

THis poem was meant to express the love affair that a writer has with paper and the pen. Maybe, some of the symbols will have more meaning if I let you in on the riddle.
